The Warriors Refuge was founded in November of 2013 by a group of Veterans and friends of Veterans who are concerned about the future and well being of the men and women who have served in the United States Military. Our Veterans often struggle to re-assimilate into a non-military environment. Our aim is to provide a community of brothers and sisters who can offer their time, talents and other necessary contributions to aid in the strengthening of our Veterans.

UPDATE October 2016): We finally moved the horses to their new forever home at Grand Central Park between Conroe and The Woodlands off of I-45 a couple of weeks ago. We are starting our Horses & Heroes Equine Therapy Program for our local veterans which will always be free of cost for them. To qualify, they have to either have a diagnosis of PTSD, MST, depression, addiction, etc., directly due to their service, or they had to have been deployed into a war zone for at least two deployments. Please help me spread the word. They can get more info on the military page of our website at www.henryshomehorsesanctuary.org. God bless, Donna
