Want to do some recruiting and have aviation fun at the same time?

The Wing is looking for a few volunteers to work at a new event taking place at the Conroe Airport on Thursday, Friday and Saturday March 17, 18 and 19.  “Modaero” is a combination career fair, fly-in, exposition and festival that intends to bring together aviation education, industry and technology for a three day event at the airport.  In the daytime Modaero will showcase static displays of vintage and experimental aircraft, drone flights, vendors, career exhibits; the evening will offer live music.  See more about it here www.modaero.net or here www.facebook.com/modaeronet/?fref=nf

Together the Houston Wing and the Gulf Coast Wing will be staffing an exhibit booth during the three-day event.  We need a couple of people to work each day to talk to attendees about the CAF and our local units: who we are and what we do.   The booth is only staffed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so if you volunteer to work during the day you can hang around afterwards to enjoy some food and music, too! Admission to the festival is $20 but of course, volunteers will not pay admission.  Texas Raiders will be in Florida during this time and there won’t be much action in the hangar, so come on up to Conroe for a day!

Reply to nkweicien@suddenlink.net  if you can support our efforts to let the public know about us and perhaps engage some new members, or if you have questions about the event.

We hope to see you there!
Nancy Kwiecien
